2. Right-size the vanity and storage
Double vanities are great, but only if the room is wide enough to walk around them comfortably. In smaller Hampton Roads homes we often recommend one large single vanity with a tall linen tower instead, more storage, less crowding.
3. Consider curbless walk-in showers
Curbless (zero-entry) showers look modern, clean easier, and future-proof your home for aging in place. Pair with a linear drain and large-format tile for a spa feel.
4. Upgrade the unseen stuff
While walls are open, swap old galvanized supply lines for PEX, add shutoffs at every fixture, and put the bath on its own GFCI circuit if it isn't already. These upgrades are cheap during a remodel and priceless later.
